Manage Subscription
Upgrade, downgrade, or manage your Adopture subscription.
All subscription management is handled through the Adopture dashboard and the Stripe customer portal.
Subscribing
- Go to Settings in the sidebar
- Navigate to Billing
- Choose your tier and billing interval (monthly or yearly)
- Complete checkout via Stripe
Upgrading
Click "Manage Subscription" in your billing settings and select a higher tier. The change takes effect immediately, and you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period.
Downgrading
Select a lower tier in the subscription management portal. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll continue to have access to your current tier's limits until then.
Canceling
Click "Manage Subscription" and then "Cancel subscription." Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, events sent from your app will be rejected.
Your data remains available in the dashboard according to your data retention settings, even after cancellation.
Payment Methods
Payment methods are managed via the Stripe customer portal. Adopture supports credit cards and other payment methods available through Stripe. To update your payment method, click "Manage Subscription" in your billing settings.
Invoices
Invoices are available in the Stripe customer portal. Access it via Settings then Billing then Manage Subscription. From there, you can view and download all past invoices.
Usage Monitoring
Check your current event usage in the billing section of your dashboard. You'll see:
- Events used in the current billing period
- Remaining events before hitting the plan limit
- Per-app event breakdown showing which apps are consuming the most events
Past Due Payments
If a payment fails, Stripe automatically retries for 7 days. During this grace period, events continue to be accepted normally. If payment isn't resolved within the retry period, the subscription becomes inactive and events will be rejected.
To resolve a past-due subscription, update your payment method in the Stripe customer portal.
