Timeseries Charts
Viewing analytics data over time with interactive charts.
Timeseries charts show your metrics plotted over time, making it easy to spot trends, anomalies, and the impact of releases or marketing efforts.
Available Metrics
You can plot the following metrics on the timeseries chart:
- Events — Total event count over time
- Unique Users — Unique user count over time
- Sessions — Session count over time
Granularity
Chart granularity is automatically selected based on your date range to keep the visualization clear and useful:
| Date Range | Granularity |
|---|---|
| Up to 2 days | Hourly |
| Up to 60 days | Daily |
| Up to 180 days | Weekly |
| Over 180 days | Monthly |
Period Comparison
The chart overlays the current period with the previous period for visual comparison. This makes it straightforward to see whether your metrics are trending up or down relative to the same timeframe before.
For example, if you select "Last 30 days," the chart shows both the last 30 days and the 30 days before that as a lighter overlay.
Date Range Selection
Select predefined ranges for quick access:
- Today
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- Last 90 days
- Last 12 months
- Custom range
For custom ranges, pick any start and end date using the date picker.
Interactivity
Hover over any data point on the chart to see the exact value and timestamp. The tooltip displays values for both the current and comparison periods when applicable.
